Sars-cov-2 and its intra-hospital spread

Copptech Eliminates virus

Sars-cov-2 and its intra-hospital spread

Healthcare-associated infections have been a matter of concern in clinics and hospitals for a long time. This is because some bacteria have become resistant to disinfectants, i.e. they are not killed by sanitisation, so they can proliferate, increasing the likelihood of their spread among users. In the current SARS-COV-2 pandemic, there has been evidence of a high degree of viral spread within the health service (Lessells, 2020). This raises the question of how can we better protect ourselves from this invisible threat.

This is further evidence that microbes indeed can be spread within hospitals, compromising patients’ and healthcare staff’s health. This is why it is becoming increasingly urgent and important to protect people from these microbes, that are hidden in procedure rooms, gurneys, toilets and healthcare tools. It’s important for public and private healthcare to invest in a safe way to eliminate these microbes, without relying on sanitisation procedures that can be compromised by human error.

The @Copptech Microparticle is capable of eliminating >99.9% of viruses, bacteria, fungi, mold and mites; protecting all types of surfaces and materials, with 24/7 self-sanitising action. Let’s permanently eliminate this major risk in health services, the technology already exists and will allow materials and spaces to be cleaner and safer for all users.

Today we celebrate an important achievement for our Copptech Team. Matías Campos won the prize for the Best Master Thesis 2020, in Engineering Sciences at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. In his thesis he obtained significant results that allow the understanding and modelling of guaiacol’s extraction process; from organic compounds using polar solvents, opening new perspectives on obtaining high value compounds from bio-oil. Copptech won the Ringier Coatings Industry Technology Innovation Award 2021!

Copptech China Award 2021

Copptech won the Ringier Coatings Industry Technology Innovation Award 2021!

We won the Ringier Coatings Industry Technology Innovation Award 2021! At the world’s largest international trade fair for paints and coatings, Copptech’s coating addivite has been recognized for its outstanding performance and innovation, that allows to protect contact surfaces from microbes, like bacteria and viruses. Thanks to our team and our partners for trusting our company’s mission and vision. We are happily celebrating this new achievement. China Coatings Summit & Expo focuses on “Innovation and Green Technologies”. It featured more than 60 keynote lectures covering industry regulations, advanced technologies and market trends in five industry sectors, with more than 500 exhibitors. At the same time, the “Green Ink and Printing Technology Conference 2021” was held. It showcased the latest technologies and solutions for the paint and ink industry. The output value of the paints and varnishes industry is expected to grow to 560 billion yuan, and the output of the paint industry is expected to grow to 22 million tons. The Asia-Pacific region remains the main growth area for the coatings consumption market, accounting for approximately 47% of total annual global consumption, with more than half of it accounted for by the Chinese market. We are very proud of our R&D and commercial team, that have made this fantastic antimicrobial solution available to everyone, making permanent protection an accessible reality.
